What documents do I need for a tourist eVisa?

To fill out the application form for a Uganda tourist eVisa (single or multiple entry), you will need:

Tourist eVisa (Single Entry)

  • Passport bio-data page (valid for at least 6 months)
  • A recent digital photo of the applicant
  • Return Ticket

Tourist eVisa (Multiple Entry)

  • Proof of your previous entry & exit from Uganda within the last 1 year
  • Passport bio page 
  • Applicant Photo (Digital)
  • Cover Letter stating reasons for Multiple Entry
  • Valid Police clearance from Interpol or the home country
  • Recommendation letter from referee 1 in Uganda
  • Proof entries and exits into Uganda in the last 1 year

Important information for your trip to Uganda

You can enter Uganda through approved entry points such as Entebbe International Airport and selected land border crossings. Always check that your entry point accepts eVisas before travelling.

A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for travellers aged 1 year or older and must be obtained at least 10 days before travel.
