Applicants can select from the following available travel purposes during their Uganda ‘other eVisa’ application process:
1. Family Visit (Former Ugandan/Relative of a Ugandan):
Visit a former Ugandan citizen or a close family member who is a Ugandan national.
2. Family Visit (Visiting a Foreign National):
Visit a foreign national who is legally residing or staying in Uganda.
3. Medical:
Travel to Uganda to receive medical treatment, consultation, or healthcare services.
4. Returning Citizen:
Return to Uganda as an Ugandan citizen or a person eligible to re-enter the country under this category.
5. Returning Resident:
Return to Uganda as a foreign resident holding a valid residence status or authorisation to resume your stay in Uganda.
6. Other:
Travel for a purpose that does not fall under the standard Uganda eVisa categories and is approved by the immigration authorities.

All applicants for Uganda ‘other eVisa’ are required to provide the following documents:

- Digital photo of themselves

For Single Entry Uganda ‘Other eVisa’
Provide the following documents applicable to your selected purpose of visit in addition to the core requirements mentioned above:
Family Visit (Visiting a Foreign National)
- Host's Immigration Status (Uganda Residence Permit or equivalent)
- Invitation Letter
- Return Ticket
Medical Visit
- Medical Support Document from the hospital or healthcare facility in Uganda.
Other
- Cover Letter explaining the purpose of the visit.
No additional documents are required for the following selected purposes under single entry eVisa category:
- Family Visit (Former Ugandan/Relative of a Ugandan)
- Returning Citizen
- Returning Resident
For Multiple Entry Uganda ‘Other eVisa’
In addition to the passport biopage scan and a digital photo, applicants are required to submit the following documents regardless of their selected visit purpose:
- Cover letter stating the reasons for multiple entries to Uganda
- A valid police clearance certificate issued from your home country
- A recommendation letter from referee one (residence of Uganda)
- Proof of your previous entries and exit into Uganda for last 1 year
