Travel Purposes Covered by Uganda ‘Other eVisa’
When the applicant selects the ‘other eVisa’ option from the visa type drop-down menu at the time of filling out the Uganda eVisa application form, they are required to select any of the following travel purposes.
1. Family Visit (Former Ugandan/Relative of a Ugandan):
Visit a former Ugandan citizen or a close family member who is a Ugandan national.
2. Family Visit (Visiting a Foreign National):
Visit a foreign national who is legally residing or staying in Uganda.
3. Medical:
Travel to Uganda to receive medical treatment, consultation, or healthcare services.
4. Returning Citizen:
Return to Uganda as a Ugandan citizen or a person eligible to re-enter the country under this category.
5. Returning Resident:
Return to Uganda as a foreign resident holding a valid residence status or authorisation to resume your stay in the country.
6. Other:
Travel for a purpose that does not fall under the standard Uganda eVisa categories and is approved by the immigration authorities.

How to Apply for Uganda ‘Other eVisa’?
The application is submitted completely online:
- Step 1: Fill out the visa application form: Complete the visa application form by providing passport, travel and general details.
- Step 2: Upload documents: Upload all the required documents depending on the visa type selected by the applicant.
- Step 3: Pay the Fee: The fee can be paid by credit or debit card or through other accepted payment methods.
- Step 4: Receive approved eVisa: Once the application is approved, the Uganda 'other' eVisa is delivered to the applicant's registered email ID.
